Lead/participate in daily direction setting meetings for crafts and ensure contractor companies conduct quality tailgates
Lead well planned & prepared safety engagements with team ensuring engagements are engaging and relevant to team
Address workplace equipment or facility safety issues, ensuring issues are appropriately manage
Ensure crafts, both Shell and contractor, are competent and qualified to complete the work assigned safely
Review JSA and work permits for accuracy and quality, recognizing excellence and addressing gaps with contract leadership
Manage daily issues, proactively and reactively, that impact the ability of crafts to complete work, such as issues with equipment availability, operations readiness, shared resource availability, tools, rental equipment, materials
Distribute work to maximize the ability for team to work effectively while delivering quality work, using both the available Shell and Contractor base resources
Maintain contact – face to face, verbal (radio/phone) – with Shell and Contract crafts, including third party services, throughout the duration of day/job to ensure work progresses efficiently
Coordinate all work activities with field presence to assure effectiveness is maintained to a high level while removing barriers
Solicit/implement improvement of execution opportunities from team.
Ensure crafts, both Shell and contractor, are competent and qualified to complete the work assigned
Assure completion of work scope is per Shell Standards and applicable Site Orders
Ensure scope of work is clearly understood by crafts and questions are addressed prior to deploying to work site
Reward good performance and effectively address underperformance
Where deviations from Standards or Site Orders are required, escalate within Maintenance leadership
Ensure First Starts are as expected, auditing job sites for safety and providing immediate support to crafts if delays exist
Provide updates to Scheduler and align on execution schedule for the following day
Confirm scheduled dates with third party vendors
Review schedules to ensure workable scopes and plans are scheduled to ensure efficient delivery
Ensure craft availability to delivery scheduled work is confirmed and communicate when changes occur versus plan
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
HS Diploma or GED
3 years’ experience as a craft working with projects, and/or maintenance in an oil refining / petrochemical manufacturing environment
Preferred 3 years direct field experience as a construction coordinator and/or technical/craft experience (pipefitter, welder, rigger)
Experienced in leading interactive work scoping sessions for planning and executing work is a plus
Strong communication skills, confident interaction with stakeholders in verbal and written form
Ability to analyze details, identify, and implement change
The base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
