Night Shift Supervisor - Levy Lexington Mill Services

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to work at ourLevy Lexington location in Lexington, NC. The Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of slag removal, steel mill services, and/or slag and scrap processing.

 ResponsibilitiesThe Night Shift Supervisor will:

• Support safety and environmental initiatives including employee safety engagement; regulatory compliance and related training

• Ensure equipment availability through effective and efficient scheduling of equipment maintenance and repairs

• Develop, support, coordinate, assign and schedule work for maintenance personnel

• Coordinate teams to identify process improvements and to develop and document maintenance procedures

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and operations management

• Assist the Operations Manager in developing budgets and business plans

• Review monthly budget to manage maintenance department costs

• Monitors product specifications for commercial and state applications

• Manages equipment and plant maintenance procedures and costs

• Runs KPI reports, analyzes data and utilizes information for better decision-making 

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

 SkillsThe ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or construction environment with supervisory experience
• High School Diploma/GED – Some college/degree preferred
• Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement related programs and controls
• Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors, tolerate multiple terrain and environmental variation
• Ability to understand financial data
• Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver’s License
