Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert on in office scheduling 
  • Works closely with outside referring provider offices to establish an ongoing relationship
  • Ensures complete and accurate patient registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information
  • Maintains ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation of referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety
  • Schedules all incoming office/testing referrals promptly
  • Answers incoming calls promptly and politely
  • Completes interoffice tasks to include (telephone encounters, actions, etc.)
  • Checks all front office voicemails on your assigned day (beginning of day, lunch, end of day)

Requirements

  

Education and Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent


Job knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrates the ability to achieve accuracy and consistency - attention to detail when entering in demographic information and confirming insurance 
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrates proficient computer/electronic medical record system skills
  • Exhibits an ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting; ability to remain flexible
