Come and discover the opportunity to join our Western Sydney Service Centre (WSSC) as a New Graduate. Working with BlueScope’s newest paint line, featuring modern equipment and automated process’ throughout the facility, you’ll be working with premium COLORBOND® products.

We are growing our team to support our Metal Coating Line project, increasing our existing paint line operations at the WSSC site, located in Erskine Park, NSW. This development will provide up to 240,000 tonnes of additional capacity to feed COLORBOND®, ZINCALUME® and TRUECORE® steel products, used for roofs, house frames and fencing.

This varied role will see you supporting all aspects of process production as you apply your technical, analytical and continuous improvement skills to the forefront of everything you do.

Working in a supportive team environment, you’ll support the continuous production activities on our paint line, whilst championing a safety-first culture. With your willingness to learn, we will support you with on-going training and a development plan to apply your technical skills. This position operates on a desirable rotating 12-hour shift pattern, covering both day and night shifts.

What Will You Do?

With your willingness to learn, you will:

• successfully contribute to a safe working environment
• work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve the efficiency of equipment
• collaborate with cross functional teams about plant and equipment issues
• assess, and analyse data, whilst identifying opportunities to improve our products
• work collaboratively within our manufacturing plant to ensure product quality

More About You

As a self-motivated new graduate, you quickly adapt and have an eagerness to learn. You will also bring:        

• relevant qualifications as a recent graduate in engineering (materials, science or similar)
• a commitment to your own safety and that of others
• experience in sharing ideas and actively collaborating and contributing to your team’s success
• the ability to prioritise work and resolve problems effectively and efficiently
• the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
