Every day you will collaborate closely with our Neurosurgery team consisting of two Neurosurgeons and two Advanced Practitioners. Some additional detail below:
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundational knowledge in cardiac electrophysiology and advanced practice. Your ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing, will be paramount. We are looking for a highly organized professional who excels in interdisciplinary team collaboration, working seamlessly with nurses, physicians, and allied health staff. This position requires a commitment to medical record accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards, all while providing compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- This role is needed due to volume expansion.
- Wait time for new patients: 6-8 weeks
- # of Referrals: 10-20 weekly
- Established practice
- Case mix: Spine/brain cases, aging population
- No Pediatrics and no Neurovascular
- Projected Volumes: Weekly 6-8 cases
- Outpatient, Inpatient and consults
- Typical week: Hours 40 or more if on call. Clinic 40%. Hospital 40% Admin 10% varies when on call rotation
- Call: On call rotates
We are offering a competitive 2 year salary guarantee then RVU-based, a sign-on bonus, full benefits, CME allowance, Malpractice with tail coverage, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. Job Requirements
Required
PA
- Degree as a Physician Assistant
- Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Minimum 3 years Neurosurgery PA experience, preferably in an acute setting.
- Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
- Valid DEA registration
- Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
NP
- Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
- Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
- Compact state or Arizona RN license
- Surgical First Assist certification
- Minimum of 3 years Neurosurgery NP experience, preferably in an acute setting.
- Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC, or d). NP-PNCB
- Valid DEA registration
- Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
