AttainX, Inc. is in search of a highly energetic Network Engineer with strong technical knowledge, communication, and organizational skills to support our government client.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Must hold a CISCO Associate Level Certification in good standing (such as CCDA, CCNA, etc.), or greater
- 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining network solutions
- Strong experience providing Network Engineering expertise and Tier 3+ support for a global enterprise computing environment
- Demonstrated experience working in a cloud environment
- Experience researching and evaluating enterprise networking solutions and providing recommendations to senior leadership
- Experience working with VLANs and/or VRFs
- 1+ year of experience working with Network Address Translation (NAT) on firewalls and edge devices, including static NAT, dynamic NAT, and policy NAT for both inbound and outbound traffic flows.
- Experience implementing and maintain internal BGP (iBGP) for route propagation, policy control, and path selection within the enterprise network, including interaction with OSPF and other IGPs.
- Ability to Design, configure, and manage OSPF-based routing environments
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional global teams and acting as a networking subject-matter expert to support, troubleshoot, and implement enterprise IT solutions
- Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices
- Working knowledge of technologies traversing an enterprise network (e.g. virtualization, Windows and Linux systems, SAN, applications, etc.) to provide secure transport for same
- Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmarks
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience working on US Federal Government Contracts
- Demonstrated experience with delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven enterprise environment
- Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53r4 and 800-53r5-based security baselining practices
- Working knowledge of Google Voice administration, including configuration of desktop phones where required
Job Duties:
The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of Networking solutions for our US Government customer.
Job duties include:
- Implement and maintain a dedicated IT development environment for testing patches and updates, system changes, and evaluation software.
- Patch management - automate the IT Security patches process required to keep the system secure.
- Implement modifications to the existing system boundary, which may include changes to VLANs and physical connectivity to other 8850-supported systems.
- Implement remote desktop technology for the workstations to allow the Help desk to troubleshoot and fix desktop problems remotely.
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain network architecture including switches, routers, firewalls, cabling, wireless technologies, etc.)
- Provide innovative and cutting-edge solutions to network issues/concern.
- Provide business case analysis for varying solutions and include a cost benefits analysis for each solution.
- Implement approved modifications to the existing system boundary, including changes to VLANs, VRFs, and physical/logical connectivity.
- Configure and manage Network Address Translation (NAT) on firewalls and edge devices, including static NAT, dynamic NAT, and policy NAT for both inbound and outbound traffic flows.
- Implement and maintain internal BGP (iBGP) for route propagation, policy control, and path selection within the enterprise network, including interaction with OSPF and other IGPs.
- Design, configure, and manage OSPF-based routing environments, including area design, adjacency formation, route redistribution, and troubleshooting across multi-tier architectures
