Position Description

Apply your broad and versatile Network Administration talents in a challenging, collaborative, and dynamic environment!  Join our team and new contract award supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Homeland Defense - Integrated Air Defense Systems (HD-IADS) mission. Our team delivers network and management configuration support to the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC) Joint Base Anacostia / Bolling, DC.

In this role, you will:

• Maintain and sustain a robust Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
•  Utilize Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) in support of mission requirements.
•  Provide network administration, network management, hardware and network integration, network configuration, and systems administration for the Ground Circuit Initiative (GCI) networks at the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC).
• Provide network administration, network management, hardware and network integration, network configuration, and systems administration for the Protocol Change Router (PCR), Automated Video Data Analysis System (AVDAS), and Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
• Support Crew Certification events by providing forensic analysis and data during operations.
• Manage and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points (APs).
• Provide support in a Type 1 security-level encrypted environment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A U.S. citizenship.
• HS diploma/GED.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance.
• The ability to obtain a security+ certification within 6 months of hire.
• 3 years of experience in general and/or specialized operational and maintenance support to computer network systems and associated equipment.
• The ability to travel up to 25%.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Additional desired experience and skills:

• A Security+ certification.
• Air defense military experience 
• Five (5+) years of direct network/IT support within an operational environment
• Familiar with KG-175, KG-250x configuration

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $97,787 to $162,978; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
