Salary Range
$70,000 to $85,000

A Brief Overview
Responsibilities include installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of voice, data and wireless networks in an enterprise 24x7 environment. Participate in technical research, documentation and projects. Must be able to participate in after-hours work as required for on call and system implementations.
What you will do
- Maintain network infrastructure including Data Center, HQ-Campus, Branch Campus, Wireless (WLAN), Telephony, Collaboration Tools, and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Troubleshoot WAN and Wi-Fi hardware, software, and circuit connectivity problems, coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and vendors.
- Troubleshoot voice/telephony, collaboration, and contact center issues, coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and vendors.
- Participate in projects involving existing and new technical solutions; responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating all aspects of the project.
- Maintain documentation of Wide Area Network and Wi-Fi equipment such as routers, switches, and wireless access points, on an on-going basis; include documentation updates as an integral part of every project.
- Coordinate multiple vendor efforts in conjunction with project plans. Obtain and process hardware and service quotes from vendors to be used in project proposals.
- Provide escalation support for Technical Support for problems.
- Resolve escalated issues or provide guidance to assist Technical Support staff in problem resolution.
- Monitor capacity and performance of all segments of the network including Data Center, Campus, Wireless, Voice and Wide Area Networks; make recommendation for increasing capacity as necessary communicate with management on the status of projects and problem resolution efforts.

- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies.

- Participate in an on-call rotation to support after hours incidents.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Understand and comply with all provisions of the Security in the Workplace policy.
Minimum Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field.
- A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 3 years may be considered in lieu of a degree
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field
- Network administration experience in an enterprise 24x7 environment
- Voice administration experience in an enterprise 24x7 environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and multiple tasks while meeting agreed upon objectives
- Good technical problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge in the principles, design and implementation of TCP/IP networks including OSI model, routing, and VLAN’s
- Working knowledge with layer 2 and layer 3 technologies with a focus on Cisco networking equipment such as routers and switches
- Working knowledge of routing protocols including Open Short Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
