Job Title: Network Administrator III
Location: 2800 Powder Mill Road Adelphi, Maryland 20783 (Hybrid)
Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret
Required Certification(s): DoD IAT Level II Certification.Cisco CCNA Certification (Must obtain within 6 months of starting).
SUMMARYAt the direction of Program Leadership, provide network administration and operational support for network infrastructure. Recommend solutions for new equipment, software, network configuration, design, and management to include the detail, specification, hardware components, and part numbers. Provide technical support for the operations of a fiber optic and twisted pair based network infrastructure
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInstallation, Configuration, and Maintenance of the NetworkExpansion, Modification, Integration and Redundancy of the NetworkDiagnostics and Testing of Network using software/hardware tool suitesFirewall policy ManagementHAIPE Inline Network Encryption (Taclane) managementTraffic Analysis: NetFlow, SNMPv3 traps, syslog, wireshark, etc.Network problem Analysis, diagnosis and resolutionAssist with security Audits
QUALIFICATIONS
Required CertificationsDoD IAT Level II Certification.Cisco CCNA Certification (Must obtain within 6 months of starting). Education, Background, and Years of Experience2-5 years’ experience in related fieldInstall, configure, and maintain L2 and L3 switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.Knowledge of VLANS, layer 2 switching, LAN Management, and Ports, protocols & servicesFabricate, test, and install Ethernet cablesFortigate, Juniper, Palo Alto, and/or Cisco Firewalls. Fortigate Firewall experience preferred.Familiarity with DISA STIGNetwork monitoring applications e.g. SolarwindsFamiliarity with Cisco ISE, RADIUS servers, and 802.1xFamiliarity with VoIPCOMSEC accounting or handling policies training
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required SkillsStrong self-starter attitude, team oriented and good communication skills are a must.Familiar with RMF, STIGs and compliance
Preferred SkillsExperience with DoD (Army) networksSQL experienceWindows Server experienceUnix/Linux experiencePERL Scripting
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental ConditionsContractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.Hybrid, Once fully up to speed, schedule created w/ manager.
Strength DemandsSedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
