Job Description:
- Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and technical procedures to a group of normal-to-high risk infants.
- Manages neonatal caseload with physician consultation and collaboration.
- Serves as patient and family advocate in identifying healthcare needs and actions for neonatal cases. Coordinates pre- and post-operative care activities for normal-to-high risk infants.
- Supports neonatal units during crisis situations.
- Utilizes planning, implementation, and evaluation in formulating neonatal diagnosis and intervention..
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in neonatal care.
- Minimum one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting.
- Preferred 2 years of Neonatal NP Experience working in the last 2 years.
- Valid Hawaii APRN Recognition with Prescriptive Authority for Hawaii State APRN prescriptive authority).
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii)
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- National Provider Identifier required at hire
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate
