Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Aerodynamic Specification Leadership

  • Develop, refine, and maintain recommended aerodynamic body-build specifications for all supported teams.
  • Extract actionable build specifications from complex aerodynamic datasets to support team aero and body leads.
  • Assist supported teams to develop body build quality control processes with various inspection tools including but not limited to scanning and templates.

Aero Development & Wind Tunnel Support

  • Assist in the coordination, planning and execution of wind tunnel tests.
  • Collaborate with Pratt & Miller and team aero leads to evaluate performance and inspection trends to identify specification adjustments.

Cross-Team Communication & Build Support

  • Communicate current aerodynamic build specifications to stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide feedback related to build feasibility, part quality, and recommended modifications that reduce rework and produce consistent on-car visuals.
  • Support issue resolution related to part buildability and body fit.

At-Track Responsibilities

  • Attend select races to monitor aerodynamic inspection processes and build consistency.
  • Track competitor trends and report observations to internal stakeholders.
  • Work with the aero program manager to coordinate with NASCAR on inspection/approval concerns.
  • Attend track tests to support aerodynamic testing as needed.
