Narrative Design Associate 

We are looking for a Narrative Design Associate to join the Demand Events team within our Marketing division. In this newly formed role, the Narrative Design Associate will leverage demand and lifecycle content to support on-demand, digital, virtual, and marquee events. This individual will assist in the narrative, design, and implementation of various event and presentation forms that will help drive prospects and customers deeper into the marketing funnel. This role demands a creative mindset, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Support senior narrative designers in developing visual concepts that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers, effectively communicating ideas through innovative design solutions for the demand events team 

• Manage workflow to deliver projects within agreed timeframes, ensuring timely completion and high-quality output  

• Research and recommend innovative design trends and technologies to enhance event experiences for the demand events team 

• Collaborate with senior designers on concepting and executing presentations for athenahealth’s executive leadership team  

• Refine narrative-driven presentations that convey complex ideas in a clear, engaging, and impactful manner 

• Review and proofread event content to ensure accuracy and consistency 

• Ensure all presentation aspects, including visuals, messaging, and design align with the athenahealth brand 

Typical Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field preferred 

• 1+ years of prior experience, with a strong design portfolio (include in resume/application) 

• Familiarity with design principles, immersive experiences, and multimedia content creation  

• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite 

• A keen eye for aesthetics and details  

• Capacity to work methodically and meet deadlines   

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders  

• Strong proofreading skills and ability to ensure accuracy in all aspects of content 

• Knowledge of the healthcare landscape preferred, but not required.
