Music Operations Coordinator, Data & Reporting

About the Team
The Music Data & Reporting Team oversees the infrastructure and operations that fulfill ByteDance's data and reporting obligations to music rightsholders. We build automated systems, ensure data accuracy, deliver financial and analytic reports, and work cross-functionally with licensing, legal, product, and engineering teams. We're seeking a Music Operations Coordinator to support our data and reporting operations across music publishing and label partners. In this role, you'll help manage report delivery, assist with data integrations, and maintain our reporting systems. You should be a self-starter who's detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. You're quick to adapt, work well independently across time zones, and bring a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach to problem solving. This position is based in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and validate music data ingestion processes, identifying and escalating data quality issues
- Support partner data onboarding by coordinating data pipeline setup and validation rules with technical teams
- Generate, validate, and deliver reports to music partners and track delivery schedules
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and coordinate with technical teams for resolution
- Maintain documentation of data and reporting processes

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in data operations, business operations, or similar roles
- Comfortable working with and manipulating large data sets and troubleshooting issues
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree
- Basic SQL or database querying experience
- Experience with automated reporting tools or data pipelines
- Multilingual skills are a plus to support global team collaboration

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88000 - $151112 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
