Job Description:
Leads the operations functions across multiple locations within the business, ensuring efficiency and high-quality standards. Is responsible for valve assembly, warehouse, quality control, safety and facilities.

- Effective Collaborator: Few things happen within Operations that don’t impact another group or department. To be successful in this role, the individual needs to be able to partner, develop solutions that work from multiple vantage points and serve as a change champion.
The responsibilities include:
- Serves as the head of operations across the organization, driving efficiency, consistency in methods, accuracy, optimum utilization of labor and strong teamwork organization wide.
- Leads the team, including hiring, training, development and providing performance coaching and accountability across operations. Conducts regular cadence with each employee regularly.
- Leads Operations and Audit/Quality Managers at all facilities within Applied Control.
- Leads assembly and warehouse teams including shipping and receiving, valve assembly. Identifies opportunities to optimize and improve productivity and labor utilization.
- Set and manage labor schedules, maximizing the efficiency of the teams, while prioritizing the most critical projects. Ensure labor leveling is appropriate and efficient across all facilities.
- Leads the Applied Control Safety Committee in overall safety protocols and procedures. Implements and enforces safety requirements and workplace standards.
- Responsible for Applied Control facilities, location moves, and other facility related activities and projects across multiple physical locations.
- Is responsible for cycle counting and partnership with the Inventory manager to manage inventory effectively.
- Is responsible for vendor management for items such as cleaning, snow removal, crating vendors, freight carriers and other partners.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth production process including the business units, inventory, accounting, quality and services teams.
- Monitor use of equipment and ensure it is maintained and repaired as needed.
- Analyze operations data and provide consumable results to upper management.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Has led multiple warehouse locations or assembly locations within a company.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing preferred. May substitute prior work experience in like leadership role.
- Requires Industrial/Operations leadership experience, preferably in an assembly or warehouse/production environment, ideally of a team larger than 10 in multi-site locations.
- Proven ability to build, lead and support a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and addresses issues timely and effectively.
- Working experience using computer skills, inclusive of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and demonstrated proficiency in ERP software, IFS is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of quality control and auditing standards.
