Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries' Fab 9 in Essex, VT has an opportunity for a skilled and motivated AMHS software engineer to join our factory automation team. The Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) supports the factory with automated delivery and storage of lots across the factory. As a member of the team, you will serve as site expert for a designated set of AMHS Material Controls Systems, including representing/leading integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams both tactically and strategically. A successful candidate will have extreme attention to detail to prevent unintended changes or process variations, strong cross functional engagement and continuous improvement obsession. This role is on a Mon - Friday daytime schedule, with occasional weekend hours as needed.

-Serve as site expert for a designated set of AMHS Material Controls Systems
-Responsible for 200mm Material Control System (Romaric RomaMD)
- System monitoring, problem investigation and resolution, documentation of issues, provide feedback to GF engineers, technicians, management, and vendors.
- Interface with vendor for problem investigations, updates, and bug fixes
- Interface with GF IT support to investigate and resolve server and networking issues related to the MCS operation.
- Coordinate MCS system updates with Manufacturing, Management, and vendors
- Work with GF IT, Manufacturing, engineering, Management and vendors to define requirements for modifications and improvements to the MCS to improve reliability and throughput of the AMHS and accommodate AMHS expansions.
-Responsible for 300mm Material Control System (Murata MACS2)
- System monitoring, problem investigation and resolution, documentation of issues, provide feedback to GF engineers, technicians, management, and vendors.
- Interface with vendor for problem investigations, updates, and bug fixes
- Interface with GF IT support to investigate and resolve server and networking issues related to the MCS operation.
- Coordinate MCS system updates with Manufacturing, Management, and vendors
- Work with Manufacturing, engineering, Management and vendors to define requirements for modifications and improvements to the MCS to improve reliability and throughput of the AMHS.
-Responsible for 200mm equipment operating software including:
- Installation, problem investigation, modifications, and upgrades.
