Job Description Summary:

The Issuance and Tokenization engineering organization at PayPal is seeking a dynamic and experienced MTS 1, Software Engineer for their team. In this role, the MTS 1, Software Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-impact products in the fields of product issuing, lifecycle management, and transaction processing. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, write code, conduct tests, review designs, and ensure successful value delivery for PayPal. Additionally, the MTS 1, Software Engineer will provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to the junior engineers of their team. Strong technical proficiency in Java, backend services, Spring MVC, and Agile methodologies is essential for this position. The successful candidate will be someone who is dedicated to customer success and passionate about creating quality products.

Job Description:

The Payments Engineering organization builds and maintains the highly scalable, available, secure, and compliant payments platform of PayPal. This platform helps PayPal's consumers and merchants to move and manage their money. This role is for the Issuance and Tokenization engineering team, which is part of the Payments platform team. The Issuance and Tokenization platform enables our customers (both consumers and merchants) to interact with each other and with PayPal in new and exciting ways.

The MTS 1, Software Engineer works on complex application projects alongside their team and implements proof-of-concept prototypes for data collection, analysis, and presentation. They seek to develop data analytic techniques to pull insights out of large data sets, with access to the largest ecommerce repository of closed loop buyer, query, demand, and transaction data. They will be responsible for writing high quality, efficient, elegant code that fuels the commerce and payments revolution. They create the infrastructure and applications that improve the lives of millions of people every day around the globe.
