Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Mold Makers apply knowledge of mold design and construction to the construction, conditioning, modification, repair and maintenance of injection and transfer molds, gauges, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures. In some instances they may fabricate new molds by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specifications. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
- Completing Mold Changeovers, part changes, cavity changes, and Mold cleanings in the shop
- Interpret Mold prints and receive instructions from the shop leader, engineers, and supervisors.
- Complete setups on the production floor as required
- Obtain factory order information from the Group Leader/Foreperson.
- Disconnect water lines and clamps from old mold in press. Remove old mold from injection molding press using overhead crane. Process appropriate paperwork including mold report card.
- Move old mold to mold storage area and place in correct location. Retrieve new mold from mold storage area using overhead crane.
What your background should look like:
This is a night shift 3 12 hour either Sunday- Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday morning.
- Must successfully complete print reading and demonstrate measuring skills.
- Must be able to use a microscope to inspect parts
- Attention to 5S+1 and teamwork is required.
- Must successfully pass color blindness screening
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Ideal candidate will have successfully completed 4+ years as a Molding Operator III and be willing to learn Mold changeovers, part changes, cavity changes, mold cleanings and interpret Mold prints
- Must be able to lift a maximum weight of 30 lbs.
- Must be able to push a maximum weight of 77 lbs.
- Must be able to pull a maximum weight of 66 lbs.
- Occasional reaching above shoulder.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $52,560-$65,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
