How you will create an impact
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobility Engineering Co-Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and co-managing our Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) environment, ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of mobile solutions across the organization. In addition, this candidate will lead the Macintosh JAMF environment.
MDM Solution Ownership: Serve as a co-technical lead and subject matter expert for the organization's MDM strategy, including Jamf Pro for macOS and Microsoft Intune for iOS and iPadOS devices.
Administration & Management: Administer, configure, and maintain Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune environments, including device enrollment, policy enforcement, software deployment, and compliance reporting.
Security & Compliance: Drive the development and enforcement of device security standards in partnership with security and compliance teams, using features like conditional access and compliance policies within both Jamf and Intune.
Software & Application Management: Package, deploy, and troubleshoot macOS and iOS applications and updates using Jamf, Jamf Composer (for custom packages), and Intune.
Integration & Automation: Support integration with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP). Develop and maintain automated solutions using scripting (e.g., AppleScript, Shell Scripts, PowerShell) to streamline device management tasks.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), deployment guides, troubleshooting runbooks, and reports on device compliance and health.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for macOS and iOS devices, resolving complex endpoint management issues and collaborating with IT support teams.
Innovation & Best Practices: Evaluate new software packages, features, and capabilities in the Apple and Microsoft ecosystems, making recommendations for their adoption and promoting best practices in MDM.
Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Security, and IT Support teams to ensure seamless device experiences and integration with enterprise infrastructure.
What you’ll need to succeed
5+ years of experience in systems or endpoint management, with significant experience focused on Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune in a leadership or senior capacity.
Strong expertise in macOS (e.g., Sonoma/Sequoia), iOS/iPadOS administration, configuration, patching, and security.
Solid experience implementing device management, application management, and compliance management using Jamf Pro, Jamf Composer, and Microsoft Intune.
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., AppleScript, Shell Scripts, PowerShell, Python) for automation and device configuration.
Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and device enrollment programs.
Experience with Microsoft 365 services and Azure AD, including Autopilot, configuration profiles, conditional access, and compliance policy management.
Extensive knowledge of network protocols, VPN configurations, SSL certificates, and integrating Mac systems in mixed OS environments.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and mentor other engineers.
Familiar with ITIL processes using Service Now or other ITSM solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
