The Enoch Pratt Free Library has an immediate opening for a Mobile Services Specialist with the Office of Mobile Services and Outreach. The Specialist will be representing the Pratt Library on their mobile services such as the Bookmobile, Book Buggy, and at public events and festivals.
This position will require work on some evenings and weekends, and will be based out of our facility at 1401 Hollins Street.

Summary of Duties
The summary of duties listed below is not exhaustive and dependent upon the needs of the hiring department.
Visit various community hubs, including hospitals, community centers, schools, senior centers, and underserved communities.
Participate in community events including Expos and Festivals to promote new and existing library services.
Advise customers on library activities, programs, resources, and public services.
Attend work-related seminars to enhance professional development.
Assist customers with basic technology troubleshooting, library sign-up, and resume assistance.
Packs Boxes for Event and Branch Incentives.
Delivering/collecting materials from homebound patrons.
Conducting mobile library services to those patrons without access.
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma from an accredited high school or a GED certificate.
One year of customer support required.
One year of computer experience with Internet tools including browsers, WiFi hotspots, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
Physical Requirements: Physical exertion such as standing; or recurring activities such as bending, crouching, reaching; pushing loaded book trucks; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a public library or a non-profit organization.
- Experience in community service roles.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Close attention to detail.
Knowledge of basic English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Ability to deal courteously with other employees and the public, both in person and by telephone.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow prescribed word processing operating instructions.
Ability to locate and retrieve information from a variety of sources and to compile the information following general directions.
Knowledge of office practices and procedures including office protocol and various hardcopy and electronic filing procedures.
Position of Trust: Those under final consideration for appointment will be required to authorize the release of and successfully complete a criminal conviction check.
