New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast (and beyond), serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24-hour help line and mobile response team, and outpatient programs conveniently located across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. In addition, New Horizons assists 22,000 students in area schools, and we work closely with the courts, law enforcement, jails, and hospitals to help improve the health of individuals and the quality of life in our community.

As a Mobile Responder – Master’s or Licensed -your responsibilities will include:
- Conducts emergency evaluations for new and existing clients who have accessed services through the Mobile Crisis Response Team and provides emergency interventions, post-ventions, and appropriate dispositions for clients
- Ensures individuals are engaged in their current setting and if in crisis shall engage in other settings (e.g., crisis stabilization unit (CSU), homeless shelter, detoxification unit, addiction receiving facility, etc.) to establish a warm hand-off with aftercare
- Promotes the use of a standardized level of care tools and assessments to identify service needs and choice of the individual
- Helps develop internal protocols for use of the Recovery Oriented Care Coordination (ROCC) module to promote shared accountability
- Works with the individual to develop diversion strategies to prevent individuals who can be effectively treated in the community and divert from crisis admissions
Requirements
New Horizons will need you to have the following qualifications:
- Master's Degree or Licensed LCSW, LMHC etc. in a Human Services field
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a mental health related field and complete a course in emergency screening prior to or within three (3) months of assuming emergency screening responsibilities and/or related experience in Mobile Crisis
