About the role
This position is for a Training Instructional Systems Designer with a desire to assist in development and establish course content and objectives without being leashed to strict Instructional Systems Designer (ISD constrains). Full range of instructional methods are employed in training government personnel, i.e. classroom, synchronous online learning, as well as the use of videos and Articulate web software.

Responsibilities
- Define end-user responsibilities to develop scenario-based training programs and lesson plans
- Work with project stakeholders to validate the course outlines to ensure that quality and accuracy meet client expectations
- Participate in the development, testing, maintenance, and delivery of training programs and related materials in support of customer products
- Design training materials including job aids, user guides, quick reference guides, and simulations
- Formulate training methods based on client needs and effectiveness e.g. individual training, group instruction, meetings, and workshops
- Build and maintain course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
- Conduct training sessions independently
- Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as Instructional Systems Designer, and Courseware Developer with experience in public or private sector environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting in front large audiences both in person and virtually
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, namely Word, PowerPoint, and conducing virtual meetings in Teams
- Proficient in learning new software systems and being able to train others. Familiarity with Articulate software a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and standards
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is desirable
- Knowledge and experience of Federal Government Financial Management Systems Training
