The Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Human Resources (HR) organization is currently seeking a Mid-Level Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Seattle, WA or St. Louis City, MO.

This role serves as both support to the IDT&S HR organization by managing Workday transactions and acting as the first point of contact for IDT&S employees seeking direct HR support; as well as an HR Business partner to the IDT&S function. The specialist will provide support and guidance on a wide array of HR inquiries and issues with a commitment to confidentiality. They will also assist with administrative tasks within the HR department, ensuring that HR operations run smoothly and efficiently, effectively meeting the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal and cross-functional teams to improve the employee experience, ensuring compliance, scalability, and a dedication to ongoing enhancement of HR services. This individual will exhibit outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational capabilities and a keen eye for detail. They will be customer-focused and adaptable, able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries via phone, email and ServiceNow by providing guidance and interpretation of company HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, and other HR-related matters

  • Collaborate with other HR team members and departments to resolve employee issues and ensure consistent HR service delivery

  • Provide process support on key HR processes (e.g. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Employee Corrective Action (ECA), Annual Compensation Review (ACR), Employee movement, etc.)

  • Stay informed on HR trends and actively contribute to the ongoing simplification and enhancement of employee experiences within HR processes, as well as the development of innovative HR initiatives

  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to inform data-driven decision-making as needed

  • Assist with implementation of HR policies, practices and strategies through relationship building, communication and intentional operating rhythms

  • Support organizational strategic projects and initiatives including full life-cycle talent management, strategic skills planning and development, and workforce planning

  • Support part of the IDT&S function providing guidance to leadership and acting as an employee champion

  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs and develop integrated solutions

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Workday

  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform

  • 3+ years of experience working with employees as a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) or Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing business acumen and linking relevant HR strategies to business outcomes

  • 3+ years of experience communicating and implementing/providing guidance regarding HR programs, policies, practices and processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience resolving employee relations issues

  • 5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions

  • Experience looking across organizational boundaries to deliver HR assistance

  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements

  • Experience developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives that enhance organiz
