Mid-Level Database Administrator

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Developing, implementing, administering, and maintaining policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of Patient First database systems;
• Implementing database security, backups, and upgrades;
• Resolving database performance and capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues;
• Writing database procedural code to create new and enhanced existing systems and integrate with disparate data-driven solutions;
• Participating as needed in the mitigation of systemic failures.

Minimum education requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or related field of study or equivalent experience;
• Certifications in Microsoft database technologies;
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures related to database management systems within the Microsoft platform;
• Two to four years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Active Directory, Powershell or Python, Azure SQL, XML/JSON, REST APIs, and Power BI;
• Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish the functions of the job;
• Attention to detail and highly logical;
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to effectively prioritize, work autonomously, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
