Position Overview

Are you interested in helping businesses grow and create large-scale economic development in Illinois? The Manufacturing Illinois Chips for Real Opportunity Act (MICRO) Program provides incentives for manufacturers of quantum computers, semiconductors, microchips, or associated component parts. The MICRO Program Manager will directly contribute to the state's competitiveness by helping promote and leverage the MICRO Program to recruit and retain businesses within the state of Illinois. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting economic development and/or tax credit incentive programs. Essential Functions

• Organizes, controls and evaluate business development incentives related to the Manufacturing Illinois Chips for Real Opportunity Act (MICRO) and program.
• Manages and controls the Business Development Manufacturing Illinois Chips for Real Opportunity Act objectives throughout the full program lifecycle.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on the Manufacturing Illinois Chips for Real Opportunity Act regarding rules, application and operationalization.
• Serves as a full line supervisor.
• Represents DCEO before various private and public groups on a state and local level concerning the mission, goals and program objectives of the Business Development programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires the knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business of public administration.
• Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative business in a public or business organization.
