The Manager Revenue Cycle Reporting and Analytics manages staff responsible for creating, maintaining, and overseeing Epic reporting related to understanding gross and net revenue, specifically but not limited to: denials management, charge lag, new service line pro formas, government regulation analysis, project/initiative modeling, reimbursement trending, payor scorecards, and additional ad-hoc requests as necessary from Epic program software. This position reports to the Executive Director of Revenue Cycle Centralized Operations Support. The individual in this role serves as a revenue cycle subject matter expert for reports that are created and maintained by his/her staff. He/she advises and directs staff on higher level decisions or problem resolution to support reports built for: denials management, charge lag, new service line pro formas, government regulation analysis, project/initiative modeling, reimbursement trending, payor scorecards, and additional ad-hoc that have been requested by Revenue cycle leadership. In addition, he/she has oversight for continued monitoring, quality assurance, and improvement of current all reports being maintained or created by his/her staff. This manager is responsible for managing various department reports, both ad-hoc and routine. He/she will assist in the identification of area where additional reporting opportunities may be needed. He/she works with the other Revenue Cycle departments with the building and modeling of reports or presentations of other potential areas where reporting may highlight need or opportunity for revenue cycle improvements. This position works collaboratively within all areas of the Revenue Cycle team to provide quality analysis. This position works in an independent fashion with limited supervision and is responsible for timely, accurate, and objective reporting. This leader is a key member of the team to support financial stewardship within WellStar Health System.Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Management * a.Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership in identifying and prioritizing reporting and project requests * b. Support Revenue Cycle leadership in objective analysis, advanced analytical reporting, and providing interpretation of findings * c.Manages staff responsible for: creating, maintaining, and overseeing the preparation of management reports supporting denials management, charge lag, government regulation analysis, reimbusement trending, payor scorecards, aging, charges, payments, adjustments and additional analysis as necessary * d. Manages staff support with various ad-hoc Revenue Cycle reports request and in timely completion of ad-hoc reports request * e. Ensure that staff reporting, and analysis is accurate, reliable, and assist staff as needed in the timely completion of the End of Month reporting package by the 15th business day of each month with a margin of error. * f. Retrieve and/or request data from Epic system, including generating reports, manipulating data, creating charts and graphs, use of Pivot Tables and V-look ups as needed. * g. Manage staff analysis of data to recognize trends and research details impacting the trend. * h.Reviews as needed the data mining performed by staff members in identifying opportunities for process improvement * i. Documents and prepares data-driven presentations for leadership * j. Must manage and support staff members with time management of multiple ongoing reporting projects and daily reporting assignments * k. Review monthly master KPI file maintained by staff using data gathered from Cubes, Finance, Accounting, Epic, Datawatch, Billing Reports, CFB, SBO, PAS and MGBO * l. Request reports from Leadership as needed * m. Other duties as assigned to support the department and WHS revenue cycle management efforts. Management and direction of human resources, job requirements, performance improvements, professional organizations, etc. * a.Assist with hiring, special recognition, disciplinary actions, promotions and transfers for the department as well as developing annual employee performance reviews including merit recommendations. Must be timely in interaction with staff related to any Human Resource activity to ensure timelines are met and communication is occurring. * b.Prepare departmental statistics regarding productivity, quality and performance measures.Apply for this role
