As Senior Manager, Project Controls at Williams, you’ll lead a team of 60+ professionals across multiple locations, driving execution of projects. You’ll bring structure and clarity to a dynamic portfolio that spans strategic growth and tactical initiatives across all business units, including Power Innovation. This role is ideal for a highly organized, process-minded leader who thrives on aligning teams, optimizing systems, and delivering results. Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Leads a 60+ person project controls organization across multiple locations to support programs and projects across the enterprise
- Aligns with business leaders and key stakeholders to translate drivers and priorities into team objectives and outcomes
- Oversees multiple Project Controls leaders and their teams to deliver performance and resolve critical issues
- Standardizes processes, tools and procedures and partners with PSS peers to improve execution and advance digital transformation in PEX
- Delivers portfolio controls across scope, schedule, cost and risk including baselines, forecasting, Earned Value (EV), change control and risk registers
- Builds talent by recruiting, training, coaching and planning workforce and career development for direct employees
- Manages functional budgets and forecasts and monitors performance against plan
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, technical or business field from an accredited institution OR ten (10) years or more of industry experience in project controls or related functions with leadership experience
- Preferred: Ten (10) years or more of industry experience in project controls field, with leadership experience
Other Requirements
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
- Preferred: PMP or AACE certification
- Preferred: Advanced knowledge of the full Project Life Cycle, including formal change control and stage‑gate practices
- Preferred: Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and risk analysis tools supporting Monte Carlo simulations and critical path planning
- Preferred: Strong financial acumen in capital cost management, forecasting and reporting
- Preferred: Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and Power BI for portfolio reporting and analytics
