Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to the team responsible for applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (such as SAS, Python, and R), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results. Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals, but is not the core focus in the role.

The MF CFO - Financial Engineering - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Develop approach to processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques. Determine customer's intended uses for a financial analysis or model.
- Lead financial analysis or forecasting, which may include scenario or sensitivity analysis, stress testing, or attribution analysis.
- Execute models and/or interpret model results. Translate the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions.
- Work directly with model builders to vet new models, suggest changes to existing models, or analyze model performance data.
- Perform advanced data and systems analysis, validation, and regression testing.
- Analyze data to identify trends and/or relationships to inform conclusions about the data.
- Develop and test hypotheses, using experimental design; run linear and logistic regressions.
- Evaluate and design controls, conduct impact assessments, identify control gaps, and remediate risk.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 4 years
- Must be well versed in Excel, Tableau, or Power BI to design and maintain advanced Tableau based reports, create charts, diagrams and dashboards
- Advanced experience with SAS, Python, R, SQL or other similar language in an analytics role is required; knowledge of multiple languages preferred
- Must be able to influence to include negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
Desired Experiences
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Experience in forecasting and/or capital analysis preferred
- Mature knowledge of mortgage market from origination to loss mitigation, including capital markets; multifamily or commercial real estate experience preferred
- Skilled in analyzing business trends and effectively communicating results to various internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, and benchmarking
- Demonstrated experience in a stakeholder capacity and/or user for a modeling application helpful
- Ability to collaborate across functions, teams and at various levels within the organization to work toward a common goal
- Informal mentoring of more junior associates
