As a MES Functional Lead - Machine Integration, you will utilize your technical expertise to design and implement MES systems tailored to the unique requirements of manufacturing operations. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, configure software, and seamlessly integrate the system with existing production processes. You will also configure MES applications based on specific plant needs, including configuring workflows, defining production processes, and setting up user interfaces. Through continuous optimization, you enhance the production process, streamline operations, and enable data-driven decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
Experience with Machine Interfaces: Familiarity with various machine interfaces, protocols (e.g., OPC, MQTT), and communication standards (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
SCADA Systems: Knowledge of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and their integration with MES.
Integration Techniques: Experience with integrating machines and equipment with MES, including data acquisition and control.
System Configuration: Ability to configure MES systems to communicate effectively with diverse machine types and automation technologies.
Compliance and Standards: Understanding of industry standards related to machine integration and automation, such as ISA-95.
Integration Strategy: Ability to develop and implement strategies for integrating new machines and upgrading existing ones with the MES.
Interfacing Expertise: Deep understanding of how to interface different types of machinery with the MES, including data exchange and control mechanisms.
Real-Time Data Handling: Proficiency in managing real-time data from machines, ensuring accurate and timely information flow between the MES and equipment.
System Optimization: Ability to optimize machine performance through effective integration with the MES, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Issue Resolution: Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues related to machine integration, including hardware and software problems.
Innovation: Staying updated with the latest technologies and methods in machine integration to continuously improve integration processes.
Integration Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of machine integration processes, configurations, and changes.
Reporting: Generate reports on integration progress, issues, and performance metrics to keep stakeholders informed.
