Education Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one-year post-secondary education in a science or medical related field.

In this role, you will work in the Pathology office within the Laboratory Department performing a variety of administrative tasks including, but not limited to:

• Accessioning patient reports for additions and corrections to patient information.
• Preparation of conference cases for pathologists.
• Handling and tracking incoming and outgoing non-hazardous patient material within the laboratory information system.
• Receiving and distributing packages and mail throughout the laboratory.
• Sending and responding to fax requests.
• Assisting providers and customers over the phone.
• Filing and organization of non-hazardous patient materials.
• Managing the scheduling of pathologists.
• Promote patient standards of accreditation agencies and state licensure requirements.
• Follows Essentia Health rules and policies to ensure safety and quality.

Experience Requirements:

• Basic computer skills
• Communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Experience in Epic
• Strong communication skills
