Medical Assistant

Align ENT & Allergy is searching for a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our physicians, physician assistants and allergy department to ensure a positive experience for our patients within our ENT and Allergy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and physician assistants during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Prepare patients for their appointments by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and obtaining relevant health information.
• Perform allergy testing and other diagnostic procedures as directed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers.
• Provide patient education related to treatment plans, and self-care practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Coordinate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the healthcare team.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality patient care with compassion and professionalism.
