Job Description

Duties: 

• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests.
• Assist patients with questions about about medications and wound care.
• File charts; ensure all related reports, labs, and information are available in patients' medical records before their appointment
• Take telephone messages; provide feedback and answer patient/physician/pharmacy calls 
• Process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians 
• Clean and restock examination rooms
• Sterilize instruments

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
• Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
• Excellent computer skills

Additional Information

Job Type:

• Full-time – Monday-Friday

Experience:

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records( EHR)
• 1 year of medical assistant experience required 
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHAregulation (Required)
• EMR experience (Required)
• Dermatology Experience ( Preferred)  

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent ( Required)

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or Associate degree preferred

Pay

• Starts at $20.00 hourly and increases with experience
