Schedule: Monday-Friday | One Saturday Per Month | Rotating Schedule

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate patient accounts and records within medical software systems.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accuracy.
  • Photocopy identification and insurance cards as needed.
  • Review provider schedules and screen patient information for completeness.
  • Assist with patient intake, including registration, triage, and vital signs.
  • Educate patients and families about healthcare processes and resources available to them.
  • Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately to ensure smooth communication.
  • Provide follow-up assistance, including managing lab results and abnormal findings.
  • Perform phlebotomy duties and process lab specimens as needed.
  • Assist the Nurse Practitioner with clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care.
  • Participate in public health education and outreach activities.
  • Keep the clinic organized by completing opening and closing procedures and maintaining an orderly lobby.
  • Support the team in clinic development, performance improvement, and expansion efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the clinic’s success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with some medical knowledge.
  • Must maintain BLS/CPR certification.
  • Completion of a Medical Assisting program at an accredited school is desirable, with certification preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with parents, students, teachers, and team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record software.
  • Capability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not required.
