Our Landing Systems division is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician responsible for assemble, test basic and major Landing Gear components for various types of narrow and wide body aircraft, prior to being delivered to the Customer.
Position is 100% onsite at our Opa Locka (Miami), FL.
Work Shift: Second Shift is 2:45pm- 11:15pm AM Monday – Friday
Overtime as business needs determine
Training will take place for 4-8 weeks on First Shift, 5:45am - 2:15 pm, Monday –Friday
What You Will Do
Assemble and adjust test side and drag strut assemblies
Assemble and test shock strut assemblies
Assemble, fit , dimension and inspect axle beam assemblies and components
Document the testing and assembly processes in order to comply with applicable regulations
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Ability to read and Interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for assembly purposes
Ability to use all necessary measuring tools such as: micrometers, calipers, height gage, hydraulic gages, etc with proficiency
Ability to operate hand tools, electrical pneumatic, hydraulic and test equipment
Basic computer skills
Qualifications We Prefer
2 years of experience in Landing Gear or 3 years of general aviation experience
Experience with SAP Experience in honing or turret lathe operation
Continuous Improvement training ACE/CORE
