DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Mechanical/Plumbing Engineering Intern to temporarily join our Moon Township, PA team. Under direct supervision, the successful candidate will assist senior personnel with the planning, design and analysis of facility (building) HVAC and plumbing engineering projects.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks
- Beginning energy modeling
- Rough layouts of piping and ductwork plans
- Perform load calculations for equipment selections
- Summarize submittals and contractor Requests for Information for review
- Minor LEED template work
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree
- Architectural Engineering – Mechanical Option
- Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with MS Office Suite
PREFERENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- EIT certification is preferred
- 3D modeling experience (Revit)
- CAD Drafting experience (AutoCAD)
- Energy and Load Calculation (Trane Trace)
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $20.00-$25.00 an hour. This is dependent on the candidate's individual experience and educational level.
