Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Associate (INTERNSHIP).
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- MUST be currently Enrolled in a bachelor’s Program in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Work Schedule: During School need to be able to work a minimum of 24 - 28 hours per week during business hours and can work up to 28 hours a week Max if a fit for the Student and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed. (we will work around your school schedule and Finals).
- Length of Internship: 2 year minimum and could extend longer if a fit for the student and need to be able to commit to this time frame if selected.
- Must be able to start May 12, 2025 and be able to work at the office.
SUMMARY
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods including support of management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, cost savings and other considerations to facilitate maintenance needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Confer with engineering and quality staff to develop, author, and implement a mechanical management system based on process monitoring;
- Confer with maintenance and operations staff to develop and author mechanical work procedures for maintenance tasks;
- Develop/apply corrective actions addressing bad actors defined by PM system on the manufacturing/repair and Facility machines;
- Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design to ensure effective mechanical design focused around longevity and reliability;
- Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards;
- Design, recommend, purchase all forms of mechanical components considering all applications, including chemical compatibility
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
