Job Description
Mission
The Vancouver office of CIMA+ is currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer qualified in project engineering of building services. Candidates will be team players who are highly motivated with good communication skills.
You will be able to work in a hybrid mode from our office in the downtown of Vancouver.
Primary responsibilities
- Design of mechanical HVAC, plumbing and controls in building applications using Canadian and BC standards
- Assume a leadership role towards ensuring the successful completion of project deliverables and client and project pursuits in the Vancouver region
- Work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team when required
- Overall design responsibilities for mechanical projects, including site assessments, technical design and review of design documents, site reviews.
- Ensure professional quality services in all facets of work
- Prepare reports, proposals and technical drawings for clients
- Mentor junior technical staff; assigning duties as required.
Qualifications
- Registered Professional Engineer with EGBC is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience with direct buildings experience in the areas of institutional, educational, health and commercial projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and REVIT
- Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience leading and directing other technical staff members in a respectful and effective environment
