Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of our industrial equipment hardware. This crucial role is essential to meet key commercial and product milestones, ensuring our technology effectively combats significant environmental challenges. You will execute on mechanical engineering activities from design to production and deployment, building scalable technologies to move the needle on environmental remediation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and analyze mechanical, thermal, and material management systems for large-scale industrial equipment, ensuring robustness and effectiveness.
Engage with external vendors to integrate designs and manage interface requirements
Develop and test prototypes, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and functionality.
Refine mechanical engineering processes and infrastructure to support product development from conception through to production.
Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, engineering analyses, testing protocols, and user manuals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experienced mechanical designer and engineer, particularly with large or complex mechanical systems.
Proficient in CAD software and engineering design tools.
Experience in the full lifecycle of product development, from concept through design, manufacturing, and testing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Additional Consideration Given For:
Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in a relevant field such as environmental technology, robotics, or automated manufacturing.
Familiarity with standards and compliance requirements in industrial design.
Prior experience with bulk material processing methods.

Strong analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach to design and testing.
Capacity to develop and implement mechanical engineering processes and standards.
Ability to directly support hands-on build activities.
Team
This position reports into Head of Hardware. It is a primarily in-office role, based out of Remedy’s Alameda, CA facility.
