The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Corporate Director, Innovation, you will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and implementing innovative technologies related to mining equipment, ore haulage systems, and critical infrastructure.
As a Mechanical Engineer, Innovation, you will be responsible for assessing technological solutions from suppliers and partners to evaluate their relevance for mining operations, particularly in terms of performance, reliability, costs, and maintenance. You will play a key role in the identification, evaluation, and deployment of innovative technologies, as well as taking responsibility for the development of financial structures and technology maturation plans.
You will also be called upon to support various groups in the integration of the technologies and initiatives under your responsibility, providing technical and strategic support throughout the process.
Specifically, you will be required to:
Monitor available and emerging innovations in the mining sector (extraction, transportation, infrastructure, etc.);
Identify high-potential technologies to improve operational performance and reliability;
Conduct comparative analyses and techno-economic studies;
Participate in technical studies (preliminary, pre-feasibility, feasibility);
Support the deployment of pilot projects and technology integration;
Contribute to the improvement of maintenance practices and asset management;
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners;
Document and structure innovation files.
