Description

As the season changes, so do opportunities. We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality aluminum fabricated products. This role requires expertise in creating accurate production drawings, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring seamless product development from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create precise and comprehensive production drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure drawings are optimized for efficient production.
  • Lead and coordinate projects with team members to develop complete and accurate production packages.
  • Assist in establishing engineering requirements to meet project deadlines.
  • Identify and communicate potential barriers to project timelines and propose solutions.
  • Participate in the quoting process, ensuring cost-effective design solutions.
  • Provide support to Operations, Quality Assurance, and training efforts as needed.
  • Review and verify physical part measurements using calipers, micrometers, and taper gauges.
  • Follow and support ISO procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in design or engineering-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in:
    • SolidWorks(3D design software) and AutoCAD.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
    • ERP software (Epicor or similar).
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and occasionally lead project teams.
