Mechanical Contracts Manager

Location: Athlone, Co. Westmeath

Salary: Competitive + Package

Type: Permanent

We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join an established M&E contractor delivering complex engineering and construction projects across the Life Sciences, Semiconductor, Data Centre and industrial sectors.

Based in Athlone, this is a senior delivery position suited to an experienced Mechanical Project or Contracts Manager with a strong M&E contracting background and a track record of delivering major mechanical packages.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple mechanical contracts, overseeing projects from initial planning through construction and completion.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing multiple mechanical projects/contracts simultaneously

* Overseeing mechanical, HVAC and process installations

* Managing project programmes, budgets and resources

* Coordinating with design, engineering and site delivery teams

* Monitoring progress through regular site visits and project reviews

* Managing subcontractors, suppliers and key project stakeholders

* Maintaining strong relationships with clients

* Commercial oversight including cost control, budgeting and forecasting

* Identifying project risks and implementing appropriate mitigation

* Working closely with Site Managers and senior leadership

* Producing monthly progress and commercial reports

* Ensuring projects meet required health & safety, quality and technical standards

* Supporting proposals and bids for future projects

We are looking for an experienced mechanical professional with:

* 5+ years experience in Mechanical Project or Contracts Management

* Strong experience working for an M&E / Mechanical contractor

* Experience delivering mechanical packages on Life Sciences, Semiconductor or large-scale Data Centre projects

* Strong knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC and Process systems

* Proven experience managing projects through installation and delivery

* Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management skills

* Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers

* Strong commercial and client-facing capability

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

* Full driving licence

* Ability to travel within Europe when required
