The Work You Will Do:
Materials Specialist-Bituminous/ District One/ District Materials Office
This position will perform asphalt plant and asphalt roadway inspections for active FDOT construction projects in District One and District Seven. This position will also coordinate and obtain Independent Verification samples and perform Independent Assurance evaluations of qualified personnel in the field.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Perform Independent Assurance evaluations as described in Department procedures and the Federal Aid Policy Guide. Perform these evaluations in an objective and professional manner. Document and report findings.
Evaluate project/process to determine current performance status. Recommend improvements to optimize delivery or improve results. Notify stakeholders of any changes to the project/process. Ensure project/process is consistent, predictable and repeatable.
Inspect component materials for compliance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) specifications. Inspect completed material or component for compliance with FDOT spec
