Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Materials Process Engineer located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Materials Process Engineer is responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on continuous improvement of our material processing.
What a typical day looks like:
- Prepare and speak to presentations on manufacturing key performance indicators (KPIs) including yield, cycle time, station performance, MTBF/MTTR, scrap control, etc.
- Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process related to raw materials
- Plan and support test method and process validation activities completed by suppliers.
- Compile clean data sets, modeling data, and analyze statistical data related to raw materials
- Support site non-conforming material review process.
- Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion.
- Trouble-shoot process related issues.
- Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
- Implement safety and productivity improvements.
- Improve manufacturing techniques and through-put.
- Review processing methods.
- Provides support to operations and engineering in developing reports, dashboards, etc. in the identification of trends/out of trend and process improvements.
- Knowledge of tolerance stack up and geometric dimensioning
- Participate in design reviews for potential new materials
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 3 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
- Continues improvement type projects in the manufacturing (Yield project or an Output project).
