Materials Manager

Purpose Statement:  This is a strategic materials customer facing role responsible for properly balancing both Plexus and customer interests for all aspects of material readiness and inventory velocity; acting as a Strategic Materials Program Manager for all material related
issues.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Deliver strategies to ensure that Plexus provides supply chain solutions that are both flexible and cost effective in meeting customer demands.
• Develop and implement strategies and business practices aligned with global leading best practice, driving consistency and accuracy throughout the global supply chain and customer facing network.
• Develop and lead the materials management operations activities globally to execute and deliver on strategic project plans.
• Collaborate with Site Planning team, Finance and Program Management to validate that customer driven changes align with contractual agreement.
• Collaborate with site and customer management to present accurate and timely E&O claims per contractual obligations.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Other Qualifications:  

• Technical/Product Knowledge: Supply Chain Management, Knowledge on Industry Standards. A minimum of 3 years experience focusing on standardizing planning & execution and reducing sourcing complexity.

Physical Requirements:  

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.

Travel Requirements:  

• Less than 40%
