Job Description

The Biologics Support Operations (BSO), located in Bldg. 78 at West Point, is part of the Bioprocess Clinical Manufacturing and Technology organization. BSO supports R & D activities in the manufacture of clinical, stability, and developmental supplies by procuring and dispensing materials to internal Pilot Plant and external Contract Manufacturing Organizations. The Materials Management Specialist is responsible for receiving, dispensing, and warehouse management of materials used in the preparation of clinical supplies, safety assessments, stability, and experimental formulated drug products. The Specialist will work with multiple business partners to ensure material availability required to support on time delivery. Examples of activities: • Managing materials from receipt to release, including collection of all required documentation. • Inspecting incoming materials to verify contents and quality. • Supporting shipment of materials both locally and globally. • Dispensing Materials for clinical production. • Supporting forecast analysis for material procurement. • Supporting warehouse management activities. • Adhering to SOPs, cGMPs and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Required: BS in Engineering, Physical Sciences or equivalent (Associates acceptable w/good relevant experience. Required Experience and Skills**: Minimum 4+ yrs Experience in Manufacturing, Materials Management, Warehouse, or equivalent. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Technical skills to be able to navigate computer applications. Attention to detail, communication skills. Preferred Experience and Skills: Procurement skills (analyzing/forecasting), Facility/Warehouse inventory management, experience working in an operations support role, technical writing – including investigations, SOPs

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
