Job Description

EAG Laboratories has a great opportunity for an experienced Materials Analyst, TEM (transmission electron microscopy) to join our Raleigh, NC team. 

Responsibilities include:

• Obtain Bright Field, High resolution, diffraction patterns, dark field TEM and HAADF STEM images of prepared samples.
• Obtain STEM/EDX spectra, line scans and maps to meet customers’ needs.
• Organize data, prepare and deliver summary reports to customers.
• Work with customers and team members to optimize experiments and explain results. 
• Develop TEM analysis protocols for new sample types.

Qualifications

• Position subject to government regulations (ITAR); All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee. 
• MS in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or other engineering or science fields.
• Hands-on familiarity using TEM/STEM/EDS to characterize various materials.
• Familiarity with Hitachi STEM, FEI TEM, Oxford/Bruker EDS, Digital Micrograph.
• Effective communication with clients on analysis results and technical questions.
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting requests.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices is a plus.
• Flexibility of working off-shift is a plus.

Work Schedule: 3pm-12am, 4 weekdays+1 weekend
