Description

General Summary:

Performs a variety of material handling duties including, but not limited to pulling, moving, counting and packaging material safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Locates and identifies the correct material to bring to the production line.
  • Reports any concerns to lead such as quality concerns, miss counts, incorrect material.
  • Insure all proper paperwork is made correctly.
  • Ensures work area is accessible and safe for employees and customer traffic.
  • Establishes efficient work flow based on product and task.
  • Follows safe warehousing practices when pulling and staging material.
  • Safely operates a forklift, four directional lift and overhead crane.
  • Operates small hand tools including, but not limited to drill, punch, screwdriver, nail gun and/or chop saw as necessary.
  • Efficiently uses packaging and other supplies and notifies the correct person when supplies run low.
  • Properly wears required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ensure Material is packaged to customer specifications.
  • Performs other duties deemed necessary by lead and/or supervisor.

THE FINE PRINT

The position requires the ability to team lift, load and carry items weighing up to 150 pounds.
