Job Description

As a Material Servicer- Basement you will be working in the basement handling domestic cullet from the manufacturing floor while using mechanical principles and properties of various material. 

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude
• Be highly safety conscious
• A desire to learn and grow within our industry

The Material Servicer will:

• Follows all department and plant SOPs and policies.
• Maintains cullet shakers in basement.
• Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical principles, properties of various materials, principles of operation and application of equipment such as motors, switches, generators, conveyors, machinery, etc.
• Helps receive and unload raw materials from rail cars.
• Helps receive and unload foreign cullet from vendors.
• Assists shift mechanics in major repairs.
• Hauls cullet from Basement or other plant locations to yard storage. May operate bob cat to scoop batch materials or cullet when necessary. May use sledge hammer to crush big blocks of molten glass in pits to strain.
• Hauls and loads purchased, yard, processed and basement cullet to cullet crusher or to storage area or inventory bins.
• Cleans up control rooms, empties all trash cans and performs good housekeeping practices in the basement.

Additional Information

Hourly Pay: $22.68/hr
