Material Resource Planner

The ideal candidate will create and organize an efficient production schedule on a daily to weekly basis that maximizes production and efficiency while minimizing raw material and work-in-process inventory, changeover costs and satisfy customer demand. They will be responsible for the ordering and inventory levels of all raw materials. The Material Resource Planner will also perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:
• Determine and apply appropriate optimization methodologies to balance service level, inventory, and resource utilization using advanced planning tools
• Monitor and ensure inventory accuracy
• Monitor performances to the material plans, and take pro-active action to solve problems and mitigate risk in meeting customer requirements and inventory targets
• Work with management in scheduling of material with vendors and suppliers
• Lead efforts in inventory control and manufacturing losses
• Provide leadership using advanced planning tools to model, simulate and release optimized material plans to the organization
• Initiate discussions with vendors concerning plan forecast material needs to ensure adequate manufacturing and delivery lead time for suppliers
• Trace and expedite shipments to ensure Plant operations are not impacted by delayed shipments
• Development of effective forecasting systems and tools in order to continuously improve planning accuracy
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field from an accredited university
• Strong excel skills
• Strong math skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities
• Ability to work effectively in all environments
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong systems skills i.e. SAP, programming, planning systems/software
