Job Summary

Material Program Manager (MPM) needed for the Raytheon TOW Program in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of material requirements planning, manufacturing and business acumen within a matrixed organization.  

 

You will develop and execute material program strategies/plans for a program or integrated product team. Overall ownership of the supplier management process (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, international issues, develop/evaluate the make/buy strategy, etc.), and communication of customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc. 

 

Additionally, you will participate in proposals by developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates. Have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization. 

 

You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, resolve issues, and conflict resolution. As a member of the product team in a matrixed environment, you will frequently need to communicate within and outside your function, internal/external suppliers, and internal/external customers.  Accordingly, it requires your ability to influence others outside of your immediate work area to gain alignment on plans, policies, practices, and procedures.  

 

What You Will Do:

• Understanding/Application of principles, concepts, industry practices and standards related to MRP planning systems (e.g. - SAP, Oracle, and other next generation ERP systems)  

• Master Data, MRP Scheduling and Capacity Planning  

• Customer Proposal generation  

• Maintaining/Assessing the integrity of the MRP environment and your programs’ schedule within that environment  

• Balancing supply and demand to create/maintain executable schedules.  

• Support Estimates at Complete (EAC) and monthly Earned Value reporting. 

• Resolution of supplier issues and delays 

• Supply Chain Metrics tracking, reporting and improvement actions. 

• Cross functional collaboration with program teams 

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.  

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Preferably a degree in Finance, Management, Supply Chain, or similar field. 

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment.
