What your day to day will look like

Pratt & Whitney is looking for a Material Handler, shipper, receiver. The successful candidate must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24-7 environment. • Perform detail oriented, highly precise material handling tasks.

• Distribute materials across all areas of the factory.

• Handle different objects, boxes, parts, carts with appropriate lifting equipment. 

• Receive, verify, prepare and issue all materials - Receiving/shipping.

• Packing and preparing material for shipments.

• Work with computer systems and applications.

• Carry out inventories as needed.

• Complete and update paperwork.

• Operate a forklift and driving a truck.

• Fulfill on-going training requirements. 

• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

• General housekeeping.

The tools you need to be successful:

• 1+ years in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of using a computer in the Windows environment.

• Ability to work well in a team.

• Positive attitude and aptitude for customer service will be a valued qualification.

• Familiar with SAP program is an asset.

• Preference to individuals with an existing forklift or powered industrial vehicle (PIV) license.

• The successful candidate must be quality driven and be accountable for results.

• Must be able to work independently in a high-pressure environment.

• Must be able to work various shifts including days, afternoons, and weekends, with potential for rotation.  On call shifts if required.
